Kenneth R Alleyne MD

Managing and Founding Partner

Kenneth R Alleyne MD is Managing and Founding Partner of HartHaven Partners. He is a healthcare consultant with over a 15 years of experience and a board certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician. In HartHaven he is able to combine his experience in medicine and finance into a successful niche consultancy to private equity, venture capital and hedge funds in evaluating their healthcare investment theses. His work has covered the waterfront of healthcare, inclusive of: services, IT,devices, pharma and biotechnology. Working with an external team of 35 healthcare professionals HartHaven has the ability to evaluate all aspects of healthcare from facilities management to complex genomics.

Dr Alleyne attended Williams College and medical school at Wake Forest University. He completed a Laurencin Lab research fellowship in biopolymers and tissue growth at Harvard/MIT Division of health sciences and technology and a sports medicine knee and shoulder fellowship at Yale University. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCONN, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and a Diplomate of the American Board of orthopedic surgery. He has served a consultant to several domestic and international sporting organizations, schools and teams. He is a board member of the UCONN Foundation, and a Commissioner on the Connecticut Commission on Health Equity. He leads and/or serves on the scientific advisory boards of Trice Medical, Soft Tissue Regeneration and Woven Orthopedic Technologies. He is a chief medical officer of NextLevel Health Partners and VirtualHealth.

Cheryl Whitaker MD, MPH

Operating Partner

Dr. Whitaker is a 20-year veteran healthcare professional who has dedicated her career to finding innovative health care solutions for underserved populations. She has extensive experience in health care information technology where she has sought to leverage I.T. solutions toward better quality care for patients.

Dr. Whitaker most recently served as the Chief Medical Officer of publicly traded health information technology company. She was appointed by Governor Quinn in 2011 to serve as the Inaugural chair of the Illinois Health Information Exchange, Authority, where she guided the states effort to create secure data exchange for health information.

As faculty at Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Whitaker, received additional certification as an Specialist in Clinical Hypertension and received numerous peer reviewed grant awards to facilitate understanding of the needs of marginal populations living with chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. The Stanford Patient Education and Research Center certified her as a Master Trainer in Self-Management of Chronic Disease. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a former member of Advisory Board for Northern Illinois American College of Physicians, and an appointee to the Chicago Institute of Medicine.

Dr. Whitaker received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Emory University and medical degree from the Washington University of Medicine. She has a Masters of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health in Health Policy and Management. Her clinical training in primary care internal medicine was completed at Stanford and the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Whitaker’s medical training focused on the care of diverse populations in the Bay area, which included immigrant populations from across the world, along with a significant HIV population, people struggling with addiction, poverty, and mental illness. Dr. Whitaker also completed a fellowship in health services research at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine.

Michael Kinne

Operating Partner

Michael Kinne brings over 20 years of healthcare and executive leadership experience to NextLevel Health Partners. He is viewed nationally as a content expert in the care and service delivery to specialty populations, including but not limited to persons with spinal cord injury/disease, intellectual/developmental disabilities (“IDD”), serious and persistent mental illness (“SPMI”) and programs for the all-inclusive care for the elderly (“PACE”). Mr. Kinne has extensive experience and expertise in the outreach, education and care to complex/vulnerable populations, specifically Medicaid and Medicare.

Most recently Mr. Kinne served as the President of Centene Corporation’s Illinois Medicaid Health Plan, focused on serving Seniors and Persons with Disabilities. Mr. Kinne held senior executive roles with Fortune 500 Health Care Companies for 19 years. These roles include Corporate Vice President of Specialty Populations and Product Development for AmeriGroup Corporation’s Medicaid/Medicare Division, Corporate Vice President of Product Development & Marketing for Aetna’s Medicare Division and Chief Marketing Executive for WellMed Medical Management (a $1 billion provider group recently sold to United Healthcare) and Corporate Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Pacificare Health Systems (acquired by United Healthcare).

Mr. Kinne was trained in the field of clinical gerontology and healthcare administration at Baylor University and the University of Southern California.

Keith Wolski

Operating Partner

Keith Wolski is an accomplished senior health care executive, with extensive leadership and management experience in health care finance and operations. He brings nearly 20 years of expertise in driving strategic planning, financial management, and operational analytics. Strengths include achieving balanced scorecard results, budgeting, forecasting, and service operation goals. Mr. Wolski has a strong track record for meeting organic growth targets, business expansion, cost containment, and profitability.

Mr. Wolski’s health care leadership experience spans across the entire health care continuum. Most recently, Mr. Wolski successfully oversaw the start-up of Centene Corporation’s Illinois Medicaid operations. Prior to that he served as the Regional Vice President of Finance at United Health Group’s Medicaid Division where he was responsible for overseeing all financial operations for the Midwest Region that produced annual revenue of over $800M annually. Mr. Wolski also has an entrepreneurial side, as he Co-founded Care Collaborative Home Health Services, Inc., a licensed Medicare and Medicaid certified home health agency serving primarily the needs of Chicago’s underserved, urban-based home health patients.

Keith received his BA in Health Care Administration from Southern Illinois University and an MBA with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Keith is also an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and an Illinois Licensed Securities Broker.
